Shower in the Basement

We recently started construction of a new bathroom in the basement. All the photos of the previous demolition and framing can be seen here.
For the shower we decided to use the Schluter-KERDI shower system to ease the installation of tile. 

After the plumbing and framing was complete the shower was enclosed with green board and cement board. The installation of the Schluter membrane was next. This provides a waterproof barrier that the tile can be directly adhered to.

Once the membrane is bonded with thin-set, the tile will be installed. The complete set of photos can be seen here
