Shed Finished

We have finally finished the backyard shed. All the photos of the project can be seen here.

Finally got around to the shelves for the entertainment unit

First we built the shelves out of MDF and attached a lip using a biscuit jointer














Once the glue dried we primered and painted them
















Here is the final product painted and installed

A bit more on the shed

Mary got the second door built and put in the interior shelves and counter top. Not in these photos was the exterior trim. Next week we will put the shingles on the roof and paint it to match the house. More photos here

Lost Dog

So this little dog came into the garage with no collar on. He was a sweet little thing but we are in no position to adopt another pet (2 cats, 12 fish, 1 bunny is quite enough already!)
So Mary carried the dog around the neighborhood hoping someone was looking for their dog. That didn't work so we posted a note at the clubhouse across the street in hopes someone would come to the clubhouse looking for their dog. We figured we could keep the dog in the backyard for a couple of days and then come up with a contingency plan. Luckily the owner of the dog came to the clubhouse while Mary was getting a workout and she led them home to get their dog. All the photos are here

More Shed progress

It has been a few days since I've updated this blog. Here are some more of the shed project.


First we waterproofed the roof with asphault before we lay down the tiles.
Next we built a door and installed it.... very exciting. More photos can be seen here
